Lady Warrior Soccer is in need of a few more players in order to have a season. Tryouts are currently taking place at the soccer complex Mondays-Thursdays from 4:30-6.PM. Any female athlete in grades 8-12 including online locals are eligible to participate. We look forward to seeing new recruits!

Dear Socorro Consolidated Schools Families, Staff, and Community Members,
It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I announce the selection of Mr. John Ray Dennis as the new Principal of Midway Elementary School, effective for the upcoming school year.
Mr. Dennis is a familiar and cherished face within our district, bringing a remarkable 32-year career dedicated to the students and families of Socorro Consolidated Schools (SCS). A proud graduate of Socorro High School, Class of 1985, Mr. Dennis earned his Bachelor’s degree in Education from New Mexico State University in December 1992. He began his journey with SCS in August 1993, dedicating 28 years to teaching at San Antonio Elementary School, remarkably spending 24 of those years in the same classroom. During this time, he furthered his expertise by earning a Master’s Degree in Reading Instruction from Grand Canyon University in 2008. His leadership experience also includes serving as Head Teacher for 15 years, from 2006 to 2022. Most recently, since 2022, Mr. Dennis has been a valued member of the Midway Elementary School family as a 4th-grade teacher.
Mr. Dennis’s deep roots in our community and his extensive experience across various roles and grade levels make him exceptionally qualified to lead Midway Elementary. He is not only knowledgeable about the effective systems, culture, and successful practices already implemented at Midway, but he is also deeply committed to continuing and building upon this strong foundation established by Principal Julie Romero. He holds a profound belief that every student can learn at high levels when provided with individualized support and high expectations.
I am confident that Mr. Dennis will bring his unique personality, passion, and wonderful sense of humor to the leadership of Midway Elementary School, fostering an environment where both students and staff will continue to thrive.
Please join me in extending a warm welcome and congratulations to Mr. Dennis as he steps into this vital leadership role. We look forward to the continued success of Midway Elementary under his guidance.

We will have backpacks and other supplies readily available when you attend summer registration.
All freshmen will be offered a backpack.
Once school starts some teachers will send home small supply lists such as a lock for PE or projects and lab supplies throughout the year.
