Important Notice:

To Parents/Guardians of all Current 6th-11th grade students

The New Mexico Department of Health has updated immunization requirements. Students are currently required to have their first dose of Meningococcal ACWY for entrance to 7th through 10th grade. Effective 2024-2025 School year, a 2nd dose of Meningococcal ACWY is REQUIRED on or after students 16th birthday and is recommended for all students entering the 12th grade. Please make an appointment with your child’s primary care provider for this immunization if your child has not already received it. School vaccines are also available at Socorro Public Health Office and/or the School Based Health Center. Immunization clinics with dates and times to be determined. *Please Note: All previous school vaccine requirements are still in force, the above immunization is added, even for online programs. If you wish you may print your child's vaccination record from the statewide database by visiting https://vaxview.doh.nm.gov/.

At this time, Influenza, COVID-19 and HPV vaccines are not required for school entry but will continue to be recommended. For your child’s protection, parents should discuss these recommended immunizations with their child’s primary care provider.
