Volunteer Information
Volunteers can play a vital role in enriching the educational experience for our students. Whether you’re reading to a class, assisting at events, or sharing your special skills, your time and talents help create a stronger, more connected community.
When you volunteer, you do more than give your time—you help shape the future. Your presence shows students that their community cares, boosts their confidence, and inspires them to aim higher. Volunteers can bring fresh ideas, diverse skills, and positive energy that enrich every classroom and program. By sharing your talents, you’ll not only support our students and teachers, but you’ll also make a lasting impact on young lives—and your own.
Volunteers must meet with site Principals and/or Department Directors and have an approved placement/schedule prior to volunteering at the site.
The following requirements must be fulfilled prior to volunteering for Socorro Schools:
Be at least 18 years of age
Complete an FBI Background Check*

*Costs associated with the background checks are generally the responsibility of the volunteer.
