As a dedicated educator with over 26 years of experience, I've had the privilege of serving students and educators across Colorado, Arizona, and New Mexico in a variety of roles. My career began in early childhood and elementary education, followed by teaching 6th-8th grade math in Albuquerque, NM, where I earned National Board Certification in Early Adolescence Math. Recognizing the power of instructional coaching, I spent eight years supporting teachers as a Middle School Math Coach and High School Data/PLC Coach. My passion for leadership and systemic change led me to pursue a Master's in Education Leadership from the University of New Mexico, and to serve as a school administrator and then the Deputy Superintendent for a State Supported Education program, serving youth in secure facilities across New Mexico. 

Now, as Superintendent of Socorro Consolidated Schools, I am committed to leveraging my experience to provide high-quality professional learning, drive instructional excellence, and ensure that each and every student achieves their full potential. Beyond my professional life, I am a wife, mother, and proud grandmother. I enjoy spending time with my grandchildren and pursuing outdoor activities, including hiking, biking, running, and fly fishing. I am also committed to serving my community.

With 24 years of experience in New Mexico public education—including nine years as a principal in rural elementary schools, Kimberly Finley brings a wealth of knowledge in curriculum, instruction, and assessment to her role as Assistant Superintendent for Socorro Consolidated Schools. Throughout her career, Kim has supported teachers and administrators through collaborative professional learning, instructional coaching, and data-informed decision-making to improve outcomes for all students.

Now in her role of Assistant Superintendent of Socorro Consolidated Schools, Kim draws on those experiences and is continuing to learn and grow in her work with Principal Leadership, directing our programming and stewardship of Federally Funded Programs, and guiding our district wide academic focus on high quality, standards aligned instruction and high quality instructional materials.

Known for dedication, analytical thinking, and heart for children, Assistant Superintendent Finley is committed to building equitable systems in which all students can thrive—academically, socially, and as future leaders of their communities.
