Testing and Diagnosis
Step 1 - Parent is concern that their child is behind
If you feel that your child is behind, contact their teacher. The best way to find out if your child is having difficulties is to speak to your child's teacher. One important thing: Just because a child is behind does not mean they have a learning disability. Testing for a disability only occurs after other causes have been ruled out.
Step 2 - If both the parent and the teacher feels that a child is not performing at grade level, the teacher will refer the student to SAT (Student Assistant Team). Click here to find out more information on the SAT process
