The Socorro Consolidated School Board is committed to a system of governance that prioritizes student success and aligns all district efforts toward achieving clearly defined outcomes. To achieve this goal, the Board is transitioning to a Student Outcome Focused Governance (SOFG) model. This approach empowers the school board to set the vision and direction for the district, while holding the superintendent accountable for achieving those outcomes.

The foundation of our SOFG model lies in a collaborative and community-driven process. The district's goals for student achievement were directly derived from the vision for student success articulated by our community members during a dedicated input meeting and the analysis of current student achievement data. These goals represent the aspirations and expectations that our community holds for its students.

Complementing these Goals are the district's Guardrails, which define the boundaries within which the Superintendent must operate to achieve the desired outcomes. These Guardrails are rooted in the core values of the Socorro community, ensuring that all district actions and decisions reflect the community's principles and ethical standards.

This framework of Goals and Guardrails will guide the work of Socorro Consolidated Schools, ensuring that our resources, strategies, and actions are all focused on maximizing student achievement and preparing every student for success in college, career, and life.
